Srs. Line and Gracy India at the beginning of Lines 5 years“Meeting sisters, associates, and lay people from all over the world was such a gift and blessing.  Whenever we encounter people we are blessed but at the International Center I was blessed 100-fold by these encounters,” shared Sr. Line Rioux as she ends her five years of dedicated service as a staff member at the International Center.  She leaves to become the First Assistant on the General Council of the Sisters of St. Joseph in Lyon.

Srs. Line and Valerie Canada during the renovationsAs the longest serving staff member she has powerful memories of the evolution of the International Center during her time there.  She faced challenges but noted that she worked with capable, good sisters.  During her time at the International Center Line oversaw the renovations which among many improvements also made the International Center handicapped accessible.  The International Center improved its financial position functioning within its means and having 3 years of balanced budgets.  International visitors increased, the 10th anniversary of the International Center was celebrated and the Center for Living History which houses an interactive museum and the archives of our history in Le Puy opened.

Reflecting back on her time, Sr. Line said, “It’s the people who make this place.  There is a spirit here. I feel an excitement in the reality of how those who come here, return home and energize those around them. I am so aware of how alive and well the charism is, especially in our lay people who are connected with us.”

Many thanks for her dedicated service.
